Some of the team met
last week to wash sand, but we have lots more sand to wash. We have
lots more to wash this coming Saturday at the Lab at Plattsburgh
State. But due to the size of the room, we need to break up the
group into small teams. This job is for
EVERYONE, no matter what team you are on. No age limits.
My 6 year old had fun doing it with Caleb, a high school senior.
PLEASE RSVP and let me know if you can come so I can arrange times. I
will pair people who have not done it before with "experienced
washers." You can bring friends to help! This job is not
just limited to those on the team. Washing sand will give you an
appreciation for being able to turn on the tap to get clean water!!!
We will NOT be meeting this Thursday night for our video conference. MIT personnel will be here in person next Tuesday night 10 January 2012 at 7pm. We will meet then. Location to be announced. (Matt- please let me know where the meeting will be so I can pass it on.)
As I have not heard from the professor yet, we do not have a date for the field trip to the Lake Champlain Lab (on the 4th floor and in the building across the street from our lab.) Due to some members constraints, we are working towards a Friday afternoon field on either 13 or 20 January around 2:45-3 so we can work with most school schedules.
